What do we want to achieve? • Build and promote cohesion between international students and locals. • Establish ISU as a main and recognized student association in the Ringerike campus. • Help emprove the overall expreience of all the students especially the internationals.
How are we planning to achieve that?

ISU Tromsø Fall 2018
Our main objective in this semester is to promote integration between Norwegian and international students. For doing so, we are focusing on events that are relatable to the Norwegians and tell much about the local culture while still including the international students.
The ISU Board of Fall 2018 was elected on September 20th. With so short time to put our ideas in practice we started developing events for the students on a weekly basis.
Our first event, ISU Goes Bowling was a huge success. All the 50 spots were taken by both international and Norwegian students. We had them participating for the 3 hours and they totally enjoyed it.
After a successful first event, it’s Movie Night!, in which popcorn and soft drinks were served. We got full response from the people. The movie voted by the students was the musical Les Misérables. Some people cried, while others kept singing the songs after the movie ended.
Our most exciting event is Speed Dating, held in October 18 th . Over the last years, it has been the most successful event among Norwegians and international students alike. This year, snacks and soft drinks are served. Our board member Steve plays the piano for the love birds during the event. Roses and chocolates make the evening even more romantic.
Future Next month our biggest project is going to be See U, Sun! The party involves a huge number of students, around 150, and used to be promoted by ISU in the city of Tromsø, in Northern Norway, a region that celebrates farewell to the Sun for a couple of months every year. After a long time, ISU Tromsø presents the See U, Sun event once again. More events are coming such as Game Night, Food Festival, Halloween, Christmas, Northern Light visiting, New Year’s Eve and much more.
