Supernova Hack Days July 25-27 ( FULL DAYS ) Location: FNAL • Required setup “homework” ahead of time • Proposed format: (inspired by LSST) • everyone signs up for an achievable task matched to interests and knowledge, w/quantifiable goal; could be individuals or small groups • on first day, presentation of tasks • get-together at end of each day to discuss progress • final short presentation at end • some tasks may come from or lead to ongoing projects

  2. Possible task list: • Reconstruct single electrons 5-100 MeV • Implement time distribution in generators • Develop gamma tagging algorithm • Implement angular distribution • Implement NC, nuebar cross sections in generator • Use realistic photon sim info to improve resolution, define photon efficiency requirements • Create smearing file for Snowglobes based on new algorithms • Background simulation improvement (cosmogenic, more on radiologicals) • ... many more possibilities • Participants can suggest/define tasks and goals based on projects they are already working on, or pick from a list
