Project aims  Many individuals and groups are keen to contribute effectively in knowledge transfer to our home country.  In recent past , many Sudanese groups abroad were actively involved in educational and knowledge transfer activities.  With the open internet, a wider horizon and a better options for innovative ideas and projects exists.  A customised learning platform that could be accessible to most /all students /trainee/researchers in health science would be ideal learning hub.

Project aims  An accessible up-to-date educational resources is a fundamental step in improving education, training and medical and health practice standard in our country.  In brief ; we wish our students in Sudan to have similar access to modern resources available to their peers in UK or Ireland.  How to limits the barriers financial, technical /or political to improve accessibility to modern sciences

Proposed disciplines:  Medicine & medical specialities - Surgery & surgical specialties - Laboratory Medicine ,radiology - Dentistry and oral health. - Nursing and allied medical sciences. - Medical research - Information Literacy: Research skills, writing & Informatics -

Advantages associated with VLE  Students engagement; learning in social media Collaborative learning opportunity learning from peers.   Improves students IT skills  Civic engagement and service learning  Standardized learning outcomes.  It is not meant to replace actual classroom, but to further facilitate learning and integration with the set curriculum.  In our context; In addition to above, creating a healthcare community for exchange of  ideas and experiences

The contents can be build up to form a reference health library for all  health institutions in Sudan The possibility of future collaboration with international libraries and  learning portals

  26.  We believe that knowledge is the only thing that underlies change  That why the first verses revealed in Quran was Iqraa :Read and learn to enable yourself.  Let us all as healthcare workers, IT sector , business , government etc let us all make the correct start from Iqra  To bring this project to its best positive impact, to bring it to every and each student and trainee in Sudan
