Rationale for Including SWD in e-Learning
“Love the children first, and then teach them” – Saint Mother Theodore Guerin
Balance can mean not to over-do things. In this rushed culture, there can be a tendency to try to do too much, acquire too much and achieve too much. In the race to do this, we stress ourselves. There is never enough time to accomplish things. This sets a dangerous precedent, not only for our students, but for us. Benedict insists in The Rule of St. Benedict that we must balance our lives with prayer and work, with reading and recreation, with rest and activity. Moderation must be maintained so that our life does not become imbalanced. -M. Boyle and S. Morten "A Light Unto My Path: A Model of Accompaniment for Fostering Mental Wellness"
