  3. What? A Second Middle School  Proposed 152,315 square foot school  1-story Core with adjacent 3-story Classroom Wing  Grades 6-8  Provide parity of academic, athletic, and extra-curriculum spaces to support district-wide fairness in facilities and opportunities

  5. Where? A Second Middle School  35 acre site, former golf range at Applegarth and Cranbury Station Road  Readily accessible  All required utilities  No environmental or construction issues  The Township is transferring ownership of the site to the school district at no cost.

Continued Enrollment Growth  Current capacity of middle school = 1,259 students w/ interim Stop-Gap Renovations  Current enrollment of middle school = 1,663 students (12/18/17)  Enrollment is projected to increase over the next 5 years to 2,072 students  10 Portable Trailer Units are planned in the 2018-2019 budget for the MS *Enrollment study can be found on the district website.

  7. How much?  The Referendum amount on which we will vote is the Total Project Cost of $68.8 million  Debt Service Aid is anticipated in the amount of 11.3% or $7.1 million of the overall coast of the project  The Average Tax Impact for every $100,000 of Assessed Value with be $41.35

  9. Debt Service Fund State Aid Cost of Proposed Project $68,845,545 It is estimated that the State will contribute approximately $7.1 million in Debt Service Aid toward the referendum, which is paid by the State in 30 annual installments (subject to annual appropriation by the State).

Neighbor to Neighbor Outreach  Phase 1 Voter Registration ; in January, telephone 15-25 Unregistered Parents to encourage voter registration from a list that we provide for your neighborhood  Phase 2 Get Out the Vote ; in February, reach out to an additional 30- 45 persons identified as “frequent voters” on that same list just within your neighborhood.
