  4. Who and where are our partners  ≈ 75% of partners are NGOs (HQ in developing and developed countries); private sector account for 7%, and communities 2%  Most organizations in AFRO (37%) and SEARO (24%) regions; only 3.2% in WPRO region

How our partners contribute What our partners do to the Global Plan  Partners are mainly involved in advocacy, communication and community engagement (30%) and delivery of  Mostly through implementation: DOTS health services & care (21%) expansion (27%), TB- HIV (23%) and DR-TB activities (13%)  Partners are working less in funding (9%) and provision of drugs, diagnostics  Less through research: new drugs (4%), & commodities (6%) vaccines (3%) and diagnostics (7%)

  6. Why our partners want to join  Partners want to be part of the Partnership movement . Most common reasons for joining = involvement in Stop TB Working Groups and other initiatives (38%), network with other partners (26%) and information on developments in TB world (16%).  Partners are not so interested in receiving resources from the Partnership. Least mentioned reasons for joining = technical assistance & advice (8%) and resource mobilization (8%).

What our partners think about the Secretariat • First survey was sent to 1022 partners in more than 100 countries in April/May 2013 • Objectives: – evaluate the level of satisfaction with the services and support provided by the Secretariat; – but also collecting feedback and ideas. • Good response rate for online surveys with external partners: 30%

Feedback relevant to ACSM • Capacity building: – Resource materials in additional languages for grassroots advocacy and community-based mobilization such as “fact sheets” (Global TB Report), simple to use guidelines, access to TB experts, PPT templates for advocacy, etc . • Advocacy and political engagement: – Support and tools (PPTs, Advocacy message “templates” using disease burden data) to help engage with the National TB Programme and Ministry of Health , identify TB advocates and champions across the globe – Linking with and inviting key opinion leaders and academia outside of TB world to address the challenges of the TB community – More regular convening of advocacy groups globally and regionally
