  8. Guest Speaker: Jaira Sona - Sona Pushkar Project India In 2016 Jaira Sona Chin, a 24 year old student from Amsterdam, founded her own organization called Sona Pushkar Project in Pushkar, Inda. The Sona Pushkar Project is a non-profit organization founded to support disadvantaged families living in tents in the desert of Pushkar (Rajasthan - India). By means of Education, Employment and Primary Life Needs we help these families to escape the intergenerational cycle of poverty and improve their living standards. We send over 40 children growing up in absolute poverty to the local school. In our project center 'the Blue House', we provide tuition https://www.sonapushkarproject.com/ and lunch after school. In addition, we employ the parents and supply basic life needs such as monthly food and shelter. To fund the project, we sell silver and products handmade by parents from Pushkar.

  12. Guest Speaker: Teddy Todorov about Puppy Parade Amsterdam Puppy Parade It’s an amazing event for family’s, kids, dogs and puppies. The social part: there is a dog shelter for stray dogs + an organization for dogs leading blind people in Amsterdam region. We will invite one or both of the institutions on the event, where people would be able to donate money, adopt stray dogs/puppies and they’ll be able to sign up as volunteers to help/assist for one of the organisations. This is a great opportunity to promote Rotaract - we’d have branded Rotaract shirts, social media promotion, interviews for national TVs, etc. The event is free for everybody and it wouldn’t cost Rotaract money as well. Sponsor: Teddy Check out the Puppy Parade Organized in Sofia for your reference.

  13. Social Event - Ultra Cyclist Jack! Sponsor: Frederik Viewing of Jack’s life story. The world’s most extreme endurance cyclist who struggled with depression in the past. How did he overcome? And how does he want to help young people with mental health issues? A talk about this with him and a university professor. Committee: Frederik, Birute, Lorenzo Date: Last week of November
