Other Ways TJ is Different? More Time 10 minutes between classes 45 minutes for lunch Everyone eats lunch at the same time! You can eat almost anywhere in the school!! 8 th Period is part of the school day on Wednesday and Friday.

Additional Testing Details Application Window : Sep 3 – 28 Test date : Saturday, November 10 Testing time : 3 hours (approx.) Accommodations date : Friday, November 16
Semifinalist Information All semifinalists must: • Get Teacher Recommendations • Must be entered into system by January 25, 2019 • Complete Student Information Sheet and Problem-Solving Essay • Administered at test site February 9 (or Feb 15 for students with accommodations)
What should we do to prepare? Do well in school • Earn good grades • Finish strong in 7 th grade Focus on mastery • Know your math • Do more than just get an “A” Let people know you are interested in TJ • Talk to your parents • Talk to your teachers
Anything else we should do? Find Things You Like in STEM! Get involved in clubs and competitions outside of the school day Visit museums and STEM related events Find out more about STEM topics on your own
