Registering for Classes process & procedures 1. Know and understand graduation requirements . 2. Make a 4 year plan with “wants” and “needs” Research courses available to 10 th graders. 3. 4. Talk with teachers about recommendations . 5. Discuss your course options with parents . 6. Create a list of your selections. 7. Review list weighing pro’s/con’s, work load, etc. 8. Make final list 9. Confirm with family. 10. Commit to your course selections. 11. Register your choices on PowerSchool.

PE WAIVER
PE WAIVER POLICY Students may be excused from all PE course requirements by participating in District- sponsored interscholastic athletics, marching band, or cheerleading for at least two full seasons while enrolled in high school and prior to entering their 12 th grade year of school.
PE WAIVER PROCEDURE Students participating in the PE waiver must complete one- half unit (.50 credit) in another course • Prior to the season the student must submit a PE Waiver Form to the Counseling Office. • Once the season is completed the forms will be verified by the athletic director or band director & returned to the Counseling Office to be processed. • After completion of the second full season , the PE Waiver is added to the student’s official transcript. Forms will be available in the Counseling Office or from the district website.

SCIENCE Science follows a sequence for the first 2 credits. GLOBAL LANGUAGE Not REQUIRED to graduate from high school. Most colleges typically require level 2 and prefer 3 or higher . A LIMITED number of colleges won’t require any. OPTIONS for 10 th Grade -begin a language -continue your current language -begin a new language -take an elective -replace language with an additional core course or Honors/AP elective
