How Can You Participate? REGISTER YOURSELF IN ORDER TO PREVENT FRAUD, DON’T ALLOW SOMEONE ELSE TO REGISTER FOR YOU Registration : www.dvlottery.state.gov 3
It’s FREE! THE LOTTERY IS COMPLETELY FREE • You will get a confirmation number when you register online, this will be the final step of registration • Save this number until September 30, 2019 • The only time you need to pay a fee for the visa will be at the Consulate after you have been selected – this will be the day of your interview 4
Be Careful! • Incorrect or missing information in your application can lead to a disqualification – even after you have already been selected • ALL the members of your family – including biological children, step-children, and adopted children who are under 21 years of age and are not married – must be included in your application • If your name is entered more than once, it will disqualify you. Make sure no family members are entering you on their behalf so you are not accidentally entered twice 5
Requirements • A degree from secondary school (baccalauréat); OR • Two years of professional experience within the last five years 6
When Will We Know the Results? • May 1, 2017 • Notification is only made via the website www.dvlottery.state.gov • Entrant Status Check • You can check using your confirmation number, family name, and date of birth 7
If You are Selected… 1) You must fill out the DS-260 questionnaire (http://ceac.state.gov/iv/) 2) After you have submitted the information, you will receive an email confirming your appointment and detailing the documents you will need to bring for the interview 8
About the Appointment… Necessary Documents : • A report from a medical exam (approximate cost is 2,500MAD) • Civil documents (including English translations) • A valid contact in the U.S. with a complete mailing address Ineligibilities: • Certain medical conditions • Certain criminal acts 9
