HANDWASHING • Soap and water are preferred method of washing hands. • When soap and water are not available/practical, hand sanitizer can be utilized. • Staff should utilize hand sanitizer provided by the school nurse and should squirt a small amount of sanitizer in each students' hands upon arrival to your classroom. Students should not be handling the hand sanitizer bottle.

  5. HOW TO WEAR A FACE MASK Wear your Face Covering Correctly ⮚ Wash your hands before putting on your face covering ⮚ Put it over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin ⮚ Try to fit it snugly against the sides of your face ⮚ Make sure you can breathe easily

WHEN TO WEAR FACE MASKS/COVERING All students and staff MUST wear a face MASK when on a school bus. • All students and staff must wear a mask/face covering when in the hallways at all times. • All students and staff must wear a mask/face covering when entering or exiting • classrooms/areas within the school building. All students must wear a mask/face covering while in the restroom. • All students and staff must wear a mask when in a room when moving about or unable to • maintain 6 feet social distance. Students may ask or be given permission for a mask break (for no longer than 10 minutes) • in the following circumstances: – When utilizing outdoor spaces while maintaining 6 feet social distance – When eating breakfast, lunch or snack while maintaining 6 feet social distance – When seated, and no others are moving about, in a classroom while consistently maintaining 6 feet social distance

  8. SOCIAL DISTANCING ❑ Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arm's length) from other people ❑ Do not gather in groups ❑ Stay out of crowded places and avoid mass gatherings

  9. INFRASTRUCTURE CHANGES o Classroom structure changes- desks 6 ft apart, all facing one way o Students will walk on the right side of the hallway. The hallway is marked down the middle, much like a road o Unique learning spaces will be created to help maintain proper social distancing o Outside and inside social distancing markings and signage

  10. FOOD SERVICES Students will be socially distanced in the ● cafeteria. Students will be socially distanced while waiting in line to receive lunch. Floor decals will mark appropriate spaces. Silverware will be pre-wrapped. Food will be served on disposable trays. Condiments will be individually wrapped. Food will be served under sneeze guards. Parents will be HIGHLY encouraged to pay using schoolcafe.com . Hand sanitizer will be made available for students waiting in line. Hand washing prior to lunch will be encouraged.

  11. NURSING SERVICES • Nursing Services- limiting student traffic to only those who are ill or injured. • Teachers will be given a bag with band aids, medical gloves, tooth containers, lip ointment (or a first aid kit). Refills available upon request. • Teachers will take care of minor medical concerns in their classrooms for example lost teeth, minor cuts/ scrapes, hangnails, ice packs. Teachers will be asked to call the nurse’s office prior to sending a student. • • Nurses will have a quarantine area for any student/staff exhibiting multiple COVID related symptoms including a fever of higher than 100.4.

  12. Busing It is critical that all students understand and comply with all health and safety procedures while on a school bus. Failure to comply with these procedures may cause an immediate risk to the health and safety of others. As such, any willful neglect of these safety measures may result in the student(s) removal from the bus roster. School Bus Health & Safety Student Procedures: All Students are required to wear masks, at all times, when on a school bus. ● ○ Mask breaks do not apply while on school busses ○ Absolutely NO FOOD or DRINK may be open or consumed while on school busses No student is permitted on a bus without having an approved roster assignment for that bus. ● Students will be instructed to load starting in the back of the bus and fill in the seats until they ● reach the front of the bus. ○ Bus seat assignments will be communicated by the end of the first week of school. All students will be required to face forward in their seats at all times. ● All students are expected to keep their hands and feet to themselves at all times. ● ○ No physical contact with other passengers is permitted A reliable parent/guardian phone contact number must be on file with the District for all bus ● riding students. In the event of a bus pickup or dropoff delay, a phone message will promptly notify parents/guardians.
