Goal of Committee Develop a comprehensive plan for the improvement of the exterior grounds of Mountz School which will be presented to the Board of Education for review for determination of priorities and costs, and for identification of financial support.

Process (2) Ad Hoc Beautification Committee Committee Established with Stakeholders Planning Sub-Committee met w/School Administration Members Toured Exterior Grounds, Local Schools Full Committee Met to Establish Consensus on Focus Areas Co-Chairs/Admin Obtained Cost Estimates for Each Focus Area Full Committee Reconvened to Review Costs and to Set Priorities Present Report to Board of Education

CURBS & SIDEWALKS- Considerations  Many Areas in Need of Repair/Replace  Safety and Liability Concerns  Storm Water Management Issues  Partner with the Boro Street Improvements to Reduce Costs  Estimated Costs: $40,000

LANDSCAPING – Considerations  Majority of Landscaping Planted in 1996  Many Plants/Trees Deteriorating or Oversized  Estimated Cost: $33,000  MAINTENANCE must be included (budget about $5,000 per year)  Can be done in phases, although not desirable
