In ¡the ¡beginning… ¡ • Opera-ons ¡began ¡in ¡Tumbler ¡Ridge, ¡BC ¡in ¡2007. ¡Mul-ple ¡ Single-­‑Stem, ¡Mountain ¡Pine ¡Beetle ¡Fly-­‑And-­‑Burn ¡projects ¡ were ¡conducted. ¡ ¡ Ø In ¡5 ¡years ¡~80,000 ¡trees ¡were ¡treated ¡in ¡remote ¡loca-ons ¡all ¡over ¡ Bri-sh ¡Columbia ¡and ¡Albera ¡

Moving ¡forward. ¡ • In ¡2009 ¡we ¡began ¡to ¡provide ¡forest ¡fire ¡suppression ¡crews ¡ Ø Began ¡with ¡two ¡five-­‑person ¡mop ¡up ¡crews. ¡This ¡was ¡quickly ¡ expanded ¡to ¡seven ¡five-­‑person ¡mop ¡up ¡crews ¡and ¡twenty ¡danger ¡ tree ¡assessors ¡and ¡fallers. ¡ Ø This ¡provided ¡us ¡with ¡an ¡opportunity ¡to ¡successfully ¡have ¡ mul-ple ¡first ¡na-on ¡band ¡members ¡work ¡together. ¡

Moving ¡forward ¡ • The ¡downturn ¡in ¡the ¡forestry ¡industry ¡caused ¡us ¡to ¡look ¡ elsewhere ¡to ¡keep ¡providing ¡employment ¡to ¡our ¡people. ¡ Ø In ¡August ¡2011 ¡we ¡stared ¡a ¡contract ¡with ¡an ¡independent ¡power ¡ producer ¡(IPP) ¡in ¡Stewart ¡BC. ¡ Ø Challenging ¡terrain ¡and ¡weather. ¡ Ø Logis-cally ¡complex. ¡ Ø Approximately ¡8 ¡kilometers ¡long. ¡ Ø Eleva-on ¡from ¡sea-­‑level ¡up ¡to ¡1500 ¡meters ¡and ¡then ¡back ¡to ¡sea-­‑ level. ¡ Ø Old ¡growth ¡and ¡decedent ¡forest ¡type ¡required ¡crews ¡of ¡highly ¡ qualified ¡and ¡experienced ¡fallers. ¡ ¡

Moving ¡forward ¡(continued). ¡ Ø In ¡Feb ¡2012 ¡contract ¡work ¡began ¡in ¡clearing ¡the ¡helicopter ¡ sec-on ¡of ¡the ¡Kwoeik ¡Creek ¡power ¡line ¡project. ¡ Ø Located ¡10 ¡minutes ¡south ¡of ¡Lyfon, ¡Bri-sh ¡Columbia. ¡ Ø Started ¡East ¡of ¡Highway ¡1 ¡ Ø Finished ¡at ¡the ¡top ¡of ¡the ¡mountain ¡where ¡the ¡terrain ¡became ¡ conven-onal ¡based. ¡ Ø Hand ¡fell ¡and ¡flew ¡all ¡trees ¡into ¡a ¡burn ¡pile. ¡ ¡
