SAINT LUCIA SECOND NBSAP: The new vision is that: Biodiversity management is an integral part of the overall framework of environmental management, for ensuring sustainable social, cultural and economic development in Saint Lucia; and that there is collective responsibility for, and sharing in the benefits derived from the conservation and sustainable use of biological resources ” .

Hence, the goal for 2008 – 2018 is that : “ Conservation and sustainable practices for use of biological diversity in Saint Lucia are effectively integrated into national development at all levels ” . The expected results are categorized under seven (7) major areas with their respective targets, namely:
