OTHER PROGRAMMES • Identification of Categories of Vehicles for fixing speed governors - Action is being initiated to identify specific category/categories of vehicles for fixing speed governors. • Introduction of Slot System for conducting driving tests throughout the State. • Identification of land for establishment of driving schools by lorry owners associations in the districts. • Fixing up of the number of Contract Carriages(Buses and 3 Wheelers) by fixing quota of permits to reduce traffic congestion in selected towns. • Rigid testing of vehicles for Fitness Certificate.
