DASH 750WP DASH 75WG is a contact and residual herbicide for broad spectrum weed control of many broad leaved weeds and grasses in sugar cane. Optimum activity occurs when the product is applied post emergence to a actively growing weeds during period of moist, warm weather.
Features 750 g/l Hexazinone Wettable granules Root & foliar uptake activity Broad leaf weeds & grasses control Economical & compatibility advantages Application timing flexibility Long residual benefit
Crops Suagarcane
Biochemical Activity DASH is absorbed through the roots and foliage. Moisture is required to activate DASH in the soil. Apply DASH preemergence or postemergence when weeds are less than 2 inches in height or diameter. Herbicidal activity will usually appear within 2 weeks after application to susceptible plants under warm, humid conditions; while 4 – 6 weeks may be required when weather is cool or dry, or when susceptible plants are under stress. On woody plants, symptoms usually appear within 3 – 6 weeks after sufficient rainfall has carried the herbicide into the root zone during periods of active growth.
Mode of Action Application Mode of Action Pathway Active Ingredient method Photosynthesis Primarily Pre- and Post- Hexazinone Inhibitor Root emergence DASH being a photosynthesis inhibitor does not prevent weed seeds NB: from germinating.
What to observe after spray Pre emergence Normal weeds emergence Growth stops after photosynthesis begins Rapid development of the symptoms Post emergence Symptoms on leaf edges Growing point is the last to die Symptoms develop rapidly
Application: DASH 75WG should be applied either pre or early post emergence of sugarcane. It can be used on plant or ratoon cane as a directed band spray or as an overall treatment.
Application rates in sugar cane Ratoon crop :- Apply DASH 75WG at 0.9 - 1.2 kg / hectare in 200 L water. Or, for knapsack spraying: mix 45 - 50 grams DASH 75WG in 20L water. Plant Crop :- Plant cane is more sensitive to DASH 75WG. Do not exceed 0.4 kg per hectare in sandy soil. Tank mixtures:- DASH 75WG can be tank mixed with DIURON at 1.6 kg a.i. per hectare. Do not tank mix with Paraquat. The addition of a surfactant is not recommended.
Do and Don’ts Weeds should NOT be larger than as specified in the Directions For Use table. Where a dense crop canopy has developed, penetration to the weeds will be poor and inadequate control expected, particularly where application is an aerial spray. Where doubt exists utilize ground sprays with more attention to increased droplet penetration. Refer to the respective product labels for period required for uptake of the chemical before rainfall. Use clean water that is suitable for overhead irrigation. Water pH higher than 8 should be avoided. DO NOT apply Herbicides when the crop is under stress conditions.
