Introduction of ROC Team • Awards & Nominations / CoPA: Dan Hopwood • Develop an awards process that increases recognition of our Members to enhance their membership experience and improves submissions to Society. • Student Affairs: Bruce Holcroft • Engage students with Chapters and Society throughout their time in college and professional careers. Currently, only 28% of student section members remain active after graduation. • Membership: Ward Scheitrum • Increase Membership for the Region through outreach to Chapters and tools that target our desired audience.

Introduction of ROC Team • Government Affairs: Bill Kness • In addition to keeping the California Government Affairs activities vibrant, working with the other states in Region 1 to determine where they are for government affairs and help establish, revitalize, or keep these activities fresh. • CGAC: Teddi Penewell • Rotate the leadership in CGAC and engage the Chapter GA Chairs. • Communications: JT Parnell • To have information passed on to maintain continuity of Chapter communication and record storage process. • Special Projects: Ted Davis • Oversight & Resource for Special Projects

Key Dates: August 15 • Annual Operational Plan due – submit through the Chapters Operations Management Tool (COMT) • Chapters that file their own taxes need to provide to Society Headquarters proof of filing or proof of extension to file. Society will file taxes for Chapters with a gross income under $50,000. October 12-14 • 2017 Leadership Conference | Rosemont, IL November • November 1 – Deadline for Society SPY & Fellow submissions • November 7-8, 2017 - Future Safety Leaders Conference | Lombard, IL December • Formulate your Nominations & Elections process & committee – submit the committee through COMT March 1, 2018 • Changes in Chapters dues for FY19 must be reported May 31, 2018 • Previous fiscal year’s annual financial reports due to AD/RVP and Chapter Services • Annual Chapter Leadership Form to AD/RVP and Chapter Services June 2018 • June 3-6, 2018 SAFETY2018 • June 30, 2018 – COMT Submissions Due
