LEADERSHIP CHANGES ▪ Appointment of Acting Chief Executive Officer has been extended until the end of June 2019. ▪ Necsa Board of Directors is considering options regarding the appointment of an acting CEO until such time a permanent appointment is made. ▪ Position for Group CEO will be advertised in due course. 3

NTP RADIOISOTOPES DEVELOPMENTS ▪ NTP was shut down from November 2017 to November 2018 and since then Necsa / NTP were working with the NNR to ensure safe production operations. ▪ Policies and Procedures were reviewed and revised where appropriate to enhance safety. ▪ Technical and safety training have been inculcated in the company. ▪ Some production interruptions occurred in 2019, but NTP is currently in operation, working on rebuilding its image as a safe and reliable supplier to local and global markets. 4

UPDATE ON KEY TURNAROUND PRIORITIES ▪ Re-focus the organisation on extracting value from nuclear technology development and exploitation in specific impact areas. ▪ Implement new business model to support nuclear research and technology mandate. ▪ Defer nuclear energy mandate to relevant time. ▪ Liquidity and financial sustainability. ▪ Entrenching corporate governance systems. 5

MARIE CURIE AWARD ❑ Dr Jan Rijn Zeevaart was nominated to receive the Marie Curie Award by the Minister of Science and Technology, on Thursday, 28 March 2019. ❑ He is identified as the Top Intellectual Property Creator for Necsa from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2018. ❑ He received a “Certificate of Acknowledgement” for his passion in ensuring that his research has practical application and seeks to result in an innovation which can be of benefit to the people of SA. ❑ Necsa received an amount of R605 000 in order to assist in driving the technology from IP Creation to innovation as a product, process or service with impact. 6

  7. CONCLUSION ▪ Commitment from the Board to steer ship on the right track. ▪ Necsa is responsible for South Africa’s critical resources, such as the nuclear reactor. ▪ Employs highly skilled scientists, especially in the nuclear field. 7
