Public Risk Management Association Resources and Opportunities for Public Risk Management Practitioners About PRIMA • PRIMA’s mission is to advance the knowledge and practice of public risk management. • PRIMA is the ONLY association that focuses solely on the PUBLIC SECTOR risk management professional. • In the evolving field of risk management, PRIMA is your one ‐ stop resource for educational programming, risk resources and networking opportunities. 1

Who Are PRIMA Members? • PRIMA’s members coordinate risk management, purchase insurance, manage human resources, administer safety and environmental programs, manage labor issues, handle parks and recreation programs and much more! Strategic Plan • PRIMA’s strategic plan provides a roadmap for the future of the Association and the profession. • PRIMA’s board of directors has defined a set of goals for the Association that will ensure it continues to be the go ‐ to resource for public sector risk management information. 2

  3. 2013 ‐ 2014 Strategic Goals • PRIMA will be the primary resource for public risk management educational programs, products and services. • PRIMA will promote and advance the profession of public risk management. • PRIMA will establish and enhance the relationships between PRIMA and its stakeholders. • PRIMA will be diversified to ensure long ‐ term sustainability . • PRIMA will integrate PERI’s supporting organizational framework into PRIMA’s operational framework. Membership Types • There are several types of PRIMA membership: • Government (voting rights) • Government Associate (no voting rights) • Affiliates (no voting rights) – Corporate/Vendor – Organizational – Individual • Corporate Associate (no voting rights) • Transitional (no voting rights) • Student (no voting rights) • Faculty (no voting rights) 3
