Introduction  MTC wishes to construct five new mini-towers in the Ludwigsdorf area to improve coverage.  Environmental Management Act, 2007 (7 of 2007)  The Regulations now promulgated - use as framework for this project  Listed activity – EIA process needs to be followed  Enviro Dynamics appointed to assess the potential impact of the proposed project on the surrounding environment.

The EIA Process  What exactly is an EIA?  Legal process  Independent person appointed  Give best available estimate of the possible impacts and effects that could result from the proposed project  Give consideration to the social and ecological environment – information from public  We don’t make the decisions – we provide information to the decision makers to make the decisions
