Corporate History • SCI was founded in 1987 as Superconductive Components, Inc. Initially, the company conducted R&D of high temperature superconducting materials and devices. This led to production of advanced ceramic compositions for sputtering. • In 1991, due to an increase in demand for sputtering and laser ablation targets, the company opened a division called Target Materials, Inc. (TMI). • In 2002, SCI and TMI merged to become SCI Engineered Materials, Inc., evolving into a manufacturing company of PVD materials for a variety of industries. • Achieved ISO 9001-2000 registration in 2005 • Achieved ISO 9001-2015 registration in 2017 • Traded on OTC markets (symbol: SCIA)
