1 About NCWU North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power NCWU was established in 1951. Water stands the very reason that NCWU has emerged, along with People’s Republic of China’s development of water resources and electric power. NCWU has 2286 staffs , 31,000 students, 64 full-time undergraduate programs, the authority to confer doctoral degrees in 3 primary disciplines and the authority to confer doctoral degrees in 19 secondary disciplines, 10 categories of professional master's degree, and 20 master's degree authorization points. Remarkable educational achievements. Since its establishment, the university has cultivated nearly 300,000 advanced professional engineering and management talents, including the ministers of China’s national ministries, generals of Chinese army and provincial leaders.
North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power About NCWU Disciplines and Majors Based on the Characteristics of Water Conservancy: NCWU has the primary doctor degree authorization and 7 master degree authorizations of water conservancy engineering, agricultural engineering and management science and engineering. There are 7 water conservancy related undergraduate majors. NCWU has a long history of international cooperation. NCWU has begun to enroll overseas students since 1958. The first cooperative institution of BRICS NU system, has established by Ministry of Education in May, 2018 and has begun to enroll students last September. It is also a great breakthrough of educational opening-up under the frame of BRICS NU system.
