What is the Presidents’ Academy? Presidents’ Academy Purpose: The Belk Center Presidents’ Academy is an Executive Leadership Program that partners with the NC Association of Community College Presidents Professional Development Committee to support meaningful professional development for NC community college presidents in elevating institutional excellence and student success . • Supports NC community college presidents in elevating institutional excellence and student success • Provides an organizing framework for community college presidential leadership development • Encourages collaboration and synergy • Partners with the NC Association of Community College Presidents Professional Development Committee to identify areas of meaningful professional development for presidents

March 2020: Presidents’ Academy Symposium Increasing Postsecondary Credential Attainment among North Carolina’s Historically Underserved Populations Building upon information and data provided by the Belk Center that identified underserved populations, this symposium is intended for presidents and their teams to: Develop a problem/opportunity statement that addresses your service area’s needs and enhances your college’s ongoing efforts to increase postsecondary credential attainment Engage a campus team in developing strategies to address the identified problem/opportunity Design college action plans for increasing student credential attainment as the result of responding to the identified problem/opportunity statement.
