A diverse landscape of current provision working in partnership • 88 Mainstream Primary/Infant/Junior Schools • 22 Mainstream Secondary Schools • 8 Special Schools
Croydon young people with SEN Our aim for children with special educational needs is that these young people achieve outcomes of independence and employment in or near their local community. We expect children to be educated in local schools that are judged good or outstanding by Ofsted.
Our expectation of Croydon’s new free special school • School staff are skilled, experienced and confident in educating children with autism and learning difficulties • The school delivers a communication and behaviour based curriculum – to meet children’s autism needs • The school promotes inclusion of young people in their local community • The school works in partnership with the Local Authority and Croydon’s special schools
