Interface requirements • Interface between the existing unitised vibration monitoring system and unitised vibration diagnostic network switch. This interface can be hardwired or a communication interface and is referred to as a gateway within the WI. Refer to appendix B1 and B2 of the WI. • Interface between unitised vibration diagnostic network switch and station generator condition monitoring network. The tenderer provide for the required fiber optic cabling as well as extension cards to the condition monitoring unitised network switches. The unitised vibration diagnostic network switched is installed within new individual unitised network cabinets. The Tenderer need to confirm the tenderer’s network requirements to confirm compatibility with existing station condition monitoring network. • Interface between Eskom vibration diagnostic server and Eskom Enterprise Historian. Interface need to be configured utilising OPC protocol. Refer to Appendix C of WI. 20/07/2020 9
Interface requirements continue • The station vibration diagnostic solution will be virtualized within the Eskom provided servers. VM Ware solution is the chose of Eskom. Tenderers must confirm hardware and software requirements to allow virtualization of their product. • Interface via Eskom firewalls to Eskom end users. Eskom will provide configuration of the firewall to allow access through the firewall. Tenderer need to specify specific requirements and cyber security requirements associated with his solution. • Providing enterprise software solution to enable viewing of the software, by Eskom users, anywhere on the Eskom IT network. 20/07/2020 10
Functional requirements Functionality which need to be provided by the overall Signal turbine vibration diagnostic processing Includes specilaised system plots and graphs Analytic System software and Administration displays Setup, recovery and configuration engineering Functions and information processing for specific running status Alarms and Archiving of event information Storage and access to recording historical information 20/07/2020 11
Free issued equipment • VM Ware virtualised server to house the supplied vibration diagnostic software. • Generator condition monitoring network to interface the Turbine network covered in the scope. Note: Tenderer need to clarify hardware, network and software requirements for equipment free issued by Eskom at tender stage. 20/07/2020 12
Documentation, training and standards • Documentation. Documentation needs to be provided as per the attachment VSDD. Note to reduce cost a once of per type documentation approach will be accepted for specific documentation as indicated in the VSDD. • Training Training provides for up front engineering training followed by training for all users, maintenance staff and engineering staff. • Standards List of standards which governs technical as well as safety requirements are included. 20/07/2020 13
Decommissioning and testing • Decommissioning. As part of the scope the Tenderer is required to decommission existing systems after new diagnostic system have been implemented and commissioned. • Tests The Tenderer is required to perform specific upfront tests such as interfaces, diagnostic solution functionality, vibration monitoring data access and virtualization of software. The test will be performed at Eskom sites as well as the Tenderer’s premises. Testing requirements provide for FAT tests, SIT tests and SAT tests. 20/07/2020 14
Options • Service and Maintenance Contract The Tenderer provides a five year service and maintenance support contract as an option for the equipment and systems included in the Works. • Advanced software solution The Tenderer confirms and price additional option which is available to support the functionality and improve the functionality of the vibration diagnostic system which is offered in the main offer 20/07/2020 15
