  3. Who We Are 3 Eco-Modus is a 100% portuguese company established in 2008 to Strategic Objectives acquire one of the main references of the industry of recovering and valorization of waste. Past 8 years the company has reached a volume sales over 24000k € . Present to the market unique and customized solutions in the area of plastic polymers; Eco-Modus dedicates itself to three main areas of business, with the support of a technical and a management team who has great knowledge about the recycling business. These three main areas are complementary between them: Provide recycled raw material of Premium quality at competitive price; 1. THERMOPLASTICS POLYMERS RECYCLING 2. STANDARD POLYMERS RECYCLING 3. NON FERROUS METALS RECYCLING Maintain a strong focus on innovation as a changing factor. Eco-Modus develops and trades products that are recognized by our clients for their quality, innovation and environmental sustainability. Eco-Modus | Presentation 2017

  4. Plastic Market’s Data 4 Key Numbers of the European Plastic Industry (EU27) Provides employment for more than 1,45 Million people ▶ More than 320 Billion € of annual turnover ▶ 57 million tons of plastic production ▶ More than 6,6 million tons of plastic waste that has been ▶ recycled Occupies the second place, worldwide speaking, ▶ regarding the production of plastic material Worldwide Plastic Production 299 million tons of plastic material have been produced ▶ in 2013 having an average annual growth of 3% Eco-Modus | Presentation 2017

  5. Benefits of Recycling 5 The process of recycling plastic polymers has great benefits Reduces energetic consumptions ▶ (process is about 40% more efficient) Reduces the consumption of a ▶ non-renewable energy such as oil Reduces CO2 emissions ▶ ▶ 26% of post consumption plastic produced in 2012 has been recycled Raises the lifespan of landfills and (6,6 million tons) ▶ ▶ 36% has been incinerated for power generation preserves the environment ▶ 38% has gone to landfills Eco-Modus | Presentation 2017

  6. Benefits of Recycling 6 Plastic recycling saves two times more energy than burning it into an incinerator. Recycling one ton of plastic saves the equivalent as 3500 l to 7000 l of fuel. Oceans are considered the planet’s biggest landfills. Plastic represents 90% of that waste. Recycling one ton of plastic saves the equivalent in energy use of a 2 people household for a year. About 10% of petrol consumed in the world is used directly or undirectly in plastic production. Currently the recovery and recycling of plastic isn’t enough. ➔ Millions of tons of it end in sanitary landfills and oceans every single year. ➔ Eco-Modus | Presentation 2017

  8. Areas of Business / Products 8 PLASTIC POLYMERS RECYCLING ▶ This unit allows the exploitation and appreciation of plastic waste with diverse origins. It does so through it’s separation, puri fi cation, recovery, fi ltering and possible inclusion of additives and granulation. This gives the plastic certain characteristics that permits the substitution of raw materials for recycled materials. Plastic Recycling Plastic Wood Eco-Modus | Presentation 2017

  9. Areas of Business / Products 9 PLASTIC POLYMERS RECYCLING ▶ Plastic waste comes from the post consumption and post industrial channel. ▶ Recycling of many kinds of polymers: 1 ▶ POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE - PET Used in mineral water bottles, sodas, syntethic fi bers, etc.. 2 ▶ HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE - HDPE Beverages crate, buckets, bottles for alcohol and domestic chemical products, gas bottles, pipes, fi lms and packages. ▶ 3 POLYVINYL CHLORIDE - V or PVC Pipes and water connections, mineral water bottles and liquid detergent, canvas, footwear, blood bags, physiological serum, wires and cables, cosmetics, toys and others. ▶ 4 LOW DENSITY POLYETHYLENE - LDPE Food packaging, industrial bags, garbage bags, fi lmes for plasticulture and fi lms in general. 5 ▶ POLY PROPYLENE - PP Packaging for pasta and biscuits, butter buckets, disposable syringes, textile fi bers and yarns, domestic utilities and automotive parts. ▶ 6 POLY ESTYRENE - PS Skeletons from TV and Sound apparels, disposable glasses for water and co ff e, food packaging, packaging in general. ▶ OTHERS 7 Plastic resins that weren’t mentioned above. 10. Areas of Business / Products 10 NON FERROUS METALS RECYCLING ZINC ▶ LEAD ▶ ▶ E.M. Lda exports 40 to 60 Metric Tons monthly of non-ferrous metals with the possibility to grow this number during this and following year to 400M.T. per month with destination India mainly.
