Construction Management Services • Possible tasks include, but aren’t limited to: – Construction Management – Pre-construction Services • Quantity Estimation • Value Engineering • Constructability Reviews – Construction Submittal and Shop Drawings Reviews – Evaluating and Responding to RFIs – Inspections and Testing – Resident Engineer Services – Project Closeout Support – Other specialty consultant services

  7. Scope of Civil Engineering Services • Scope of work includes providing Civil Engineering Services for Small to Medium Budget Projects. Work tasks will be assigned based upon qualifications and technical expertise. Possible tasks include, but aren’t limited to: – Planning, Design and Project Management – Preparation of survey/study reports, plans, specification and estimates – Other specialty consultant services

Types of Civil Engineering Projects/Services • Grading, Drainage and erosion control • Roadway design and Improvements • Roadway preservation, rehabilitation and maintenance • Layout plan for various utilities including water, sewer, storm water, electrical and gas • Parking Lot layout • Traffic Engineering Surveys/Studies

  9. Sample Projects • Pier 94 Backlands Project –Site Grading, New Roadway, Storm water management, etc. (Currently in progress)

  10. Crane Cove Park – Building 49 Partial Renovation Construction to begin Summer 2019 Project is to repair a 7,800 sf building’s core and shell, and install public restrooms. Major Categories of Work Structural Steel Electrical Plumbing Roofing Concrete & Reinforcing Steel Painting Pile driving Fire Protection Earthwork and Paving HVAC

  11. Beltline Building Repair Project – Core and Shell Construction to begin Fall 2019 Project is to upgrade the building for code compliance and repair the building shell. Major Categories of Work Plumbing Window Repairs Electrical Metal Stairs and Ramp Mechanical Systems Painting Sanitary Sewer connection Hazardous Material Abatement Elevator Work New Doors and Door Repairs

Heron’s Head Park – Path Improvements and Electrical Upgrade Construction to begin Winter 2020 Project construction of an ADA-accessible secondary path, updating path signage, installation of a habitat protection fence, installation of path lighting, installing new solar panels, and other related electrical work. Major Categories of Work Earthwork and Paving Fencing Asphalt and concrete work Electrical

Amador Street Sewer & Pavement Repair Currently in design, Construction to begin in Fall 2020 OVERVIEW The project will provide for more dependable sanitary sewage and storm drain service, and improve roadway pavement along Amador Street corridor PROJECT SCOPE The Project scope includes upgrading a pump station and force main sanitary sewer system, repairing storm drain system under the roadway, making base repairs and repaving the roadway. The total construction budget for this project is $6,000,000

  14. Additional projects • Construction projects including but not limited to: – Mission Bay Ferry Landing – Downtown Ferry Terminal Gate B Float & Canopy Replacement – South Beach Marina Repairs – China Basin Terminal Gangway Power Lifts – 19 th and Georgia Street Extension

Proposal Requirements Submittals must be received by: 2:00 PM on April 26, 2019 Submittals may be delivered (1) electronically through the City’s Supplier Portal, (2) in person at Pier 1, or (3) mailed to: Albie Udom Port of San Francisco Pier 1, The Embarcadero San Francisco, CA 94111 Proposal Package: • Seven (7) Copies of the Proposal • One (1) Copy of the Billing Rates Schedule • One (1) Copy of required CMD forms • One (1) USB Drive with electronic copies of all documents

  16. Minimum Qualifications (Revised) Prime Consultants Qualification and Experience • Prime Consultants must demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years of continuous experience consulting on construction management projects within the most recent five (5) years; • Prime Consultants must also demonstrate a minimum of two (2) projects completed within the most recent five (5) years. Licenses • Each Prime Consultant construction manager that will work and /or oversee Port’s projects must possess a valid and current State of California Professional Engineer’s license, which must be listed in the Submittal.
