POITIERS, THE UNIVERSITY AND THE CITY • Poitiers ranks 1st of all French cities in terms of student population : 1 in 4 inhabitants is a student ; • At the beginning of the school year 2018 : Poitiers is the cheapest city for rents, cited as one of the favorite cities of students for the living environment and cultural life. A Confucius Institute • Summer schools The Summer schools held at the University of Poitiers offer courses intermixed with cultural events and visits in the region (Loire Valley, Cognac). Each year, groups of up to 20 persons are made up with people from USA, Russia and Canada.
