  6. Team Norms and Rules Weekly Meetings Saturday at 2pm using Skype Chat to generate progress; follow-up meeting often set for Sundays for completion of action items. To reach consensus Open debate with everyone having a say, then vote. Team supports and works towards the majority decision. Communication and activities should include all team members by default (no subgroups), issues are raised to the whole team. What worked well? Having meetings at same time simplified planning. Working on weekends provided a regular allotment of time to progress tasks.

What would Primary Key have used more? Could have instituted additional formal team rules, for example to respond to emails within 24 hours. Additional time to give to task, team was very busy. Addition of a team specialist with database responsibilities in their day-to-day job. Additional time to use OfficeZilla/virtual office product. Struggled with getting the wikipedia update started at an early point in the project.

Is tool recommended to other teams and for future use? Yes, we recommend Google Calendar for the following reasons: Functionality allows the person setting up the meeting to attach an agenda and send an email reminder prior to the meeting. Yes, we recommend Google Docs for the following reasons: Google Documents has the key MS platform functionality. Allows all members to access latest version and work on collaboratively. This presentation is in a Google Docs file.

We created a matrix analyzing Product Functionality by User Need for the products voted by the team to be the top products. How do Product Attributes match to Use Case Needs? We created a scorecard to score each top product according to the use case. We noted that the choice of top product depends in every instance on the use case.

Selected Use Case - Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Scenario Director of Healthcare Services manages approximately 35 Field Engineers located throughout the North Central Region of the United States. Each hospital instance, whether service issue or new installation, needs to have customer's demographic and service contract information updated daily by the field engineering staff and customer support, so that the various departments within GE have simultaneous access to the information in order to support the customer's needs. With regards to operational management, the Director needs to keep track of his engineers billable time for customer's as well as his engineers' utilization. Other departments will need this information in order to manage headcount per project as well.

Runners up - The drawback is that some additional technical skill is needed. If this technical skill is not available, an online program with intermediate user face such as Grubba may be preferable, however it has less functionality in terms of the selected dimensions.
