Common OE mistakes & Exceptions • Common mistakes o Employee forgets to save in eBenefits o Employee forgets to re-enroll in FSA or enters wrong amount o Employee drops family members or forgets to include them o Employee accidently enrolls in a plan or skips a plan • How to prevent mistakes o Print confirmation form at the end of enrolling and carefully review o Check paystub in January • NCFlex Exceptions o Exception form is on the HBR page of www.ncflex.org o Be specific on issue with all the facts, why issue happened (admin error or EE error), and what resolution is expected o OE errors, employees need to notify HBR by February paychecks 6

2019 Plan Updates FSA Health Care FSA o Yearly amount - $2,650 o First year of $500 roll over Remind employees to spend amounts over $500 by Dec. 31, 2018 $25 minimum to roll over Have until April 30,2019 to file claims for 2018 o Promotion of FSAStore.com o Assists employees to utilize their FSA funds o Will be communicating with employees with balances over $500 and sending lists of impacted employees to HBRs 8

2019 Plan Updates Group Term Life and AD&D • Group Term Life o No rate increases o Same Guaranteed Issue amounts as last year o Outlined in Enrollment Guide o Guaranteed Issue amounts available when an employee experiences a QLE 10
2019 Plan Updates TRICARE Supplement Plan • No rate changes • 1/1/2018 TRICARE Standard and TRICARE Extra is now TRICARE Select o Employees must re-enroll in their main TRICARE insurance to continue coverage in 2019 o Employee do NOT need to re-enroll in the TRICARE Supplement each year • Contact for Selman & Company has changed o New contact is Laine Hoytt, backup is Jessica Zeisar o Old contact was Stephanie Hrouda o HBR Admin Manual has been updated 11
