Fair-Play Charter: some rules • To conform to the rules and the spirit of the sport I practice. • To respect my opponents as I respect myself. • To accept the decisions of referees or sports judges. • To avoid malice and aggressiveness in my actions, words and writings. • To avoid using tricks or cheating to be successful. • To maintain dignity both in case of victory and defeat.

It’s an association … • free, not-for-profit, legally recognized. • non-denominational, non-political without distinction as to sex and race. • Formed by volunteers who devote their lives to sport and whose motto is “LUDIS IUNGIT” (i.e. ‘United by Sport’)

Distinctive Features of Panathlon International • Panathlon International is the only sport Movement recognized by IOC which implements its projects in the field through its Clubs. • Example: the Club of Lausanne and its Family Games, the Club of Venice and its Panathliades .

Charter for sporting rights of the young - The right to practice sports. - The right to have fun and play like a child - The right to benefit from a sound environment. - The right to be treated with dignity. - The right to be surrounded and trained by competent persons. - The right to attend training sessions adequate to one's rhythms. - The right to confront oneself with young people having the same opportunity of success. - The right to participate in competitions adequate for one's age. - The right to practice one's sport in absolutely safe conditions. - The right to have adequate rest periods. - The right not to be a champion.
Panathlon Declaration on Ethics in Youth Sport Spread among all international sports federations, this Declaration has enabled P.I. to become officially known by important agencies worldwide.
LA CHARTE DES DEVOIRS DES PARENTS DANS LE SPORT 1. Le choix de la discipline sportive préférée appartient à mes enfants dans la totale autonomie et sans des conditionnements de ma part. 2. Mon devoir est de vérifier que l’activité sportive soit fonctionnelle à leur éducation et à leur croissance psychophysique, en harmonisant le temps du sport avec les engagements scolaires et avec une vie familière tranquille . 3. J’éviterai à mes enfants jusqu'à l'âge de 14 ans, de lourdes activités compétitives, sauf des disciplines formatives en favorisant le sport ludique et récréatif. 4. Je les suivrai avec discrétion , avec leur consentement, si tout cela servira à les aider à avoir avec le sport une relation équilibrée. 5. Je ne demanderai rien aux entraîneurs de mes enfants, qui ne corresponde pas à leurs mérites et à leurs professionnalités. 6. Je dirai à mes enfants que pour être de bons sportifs et pour se sentir heureux dans la vie il n'est pas nécessaire de devenir des champions. 7. Je leur rappellerai également que les défaites aident à grandir parce qu’elles sont nécessaires pour devenir plus sages . 8. Je leur montrerai les valeurs du Panathlon comme le principe éthique pour affronter une bonne expérience sportive. 9. À leur retour à la maison je ne demanderai pas s'ils ont gagné ou perdu mais s’ils se sentent meilleurs. Je ne demanderai pas combien de buts ils ont marqué ou ils ont subi, ou combien de records ils ont battu, mais s’ils se sont amusés . 10. Je voudrai me regarder dans leurs yeux tous les jours et trouver le sourire de ma jeunesse.
PI-Domenico Chiesa Foundation Panathlon International created the «Domenico Chiesa Award» to reward Panathletes or non-members who have been living in accordance with Panathlon’s spirit, who have been engaged in upholding the sporting ideals or who have made an exceptional contribution to understanding and promoting the values of Panathlon and of the Foundation.
International Graphic Arts Contest Each year, Chiesa Foundation organizes a graphic arts competition targeted to high school students on the theme of Panathletic ideals.
