Erosion Model Calculations • Prediction and comparison of erosion rates using various erosion models for piping components such as elbows, tees, welded joints, straight pipes, and reducers • Erosion models available in PERMiT: API RP 14 E, DNV RP 0501, Salama, Salama & Venkatesh, Jordan – ECRC, ECRC – Bubble flow • Construct erosion velocity boundary plots using different models • Allows user to superimpose operating envelope curves generated using different models for comparison • Create sensitivity plots to see how erosion is affected by changes to a parameter such as gas velocity or pipe diameter
