What is Anti-Social Behaviour Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) includes behaviours/actions such as: � rowdy, noisy behaviour, including night-time noise from houses or gardens � threatening, drunken or yobbish behaviour � vandalism, graffiti and fly-posting � litter and fly-tipping rubbish � aggressive begging & street drinking
Approach to Anti-Social Behaviour in Northampton � ASB is a priority for Northampton Community Safety Partnership � Escalation process is followed: Escalation process is followed: ₋ Single agency response at first point of reporting ₋ Joint response if required ₋ Formal referral into multi-agency Anti-Social Behaviour Unit (ASBU) ₋ Legal Action (if required) � Appropriate support is identified throughout the process for victims, witnesses & offenders

Anti-Social Behaviour Incidents 2012/13 – 2014/15 Overall Trends: � Gradual reduction in all ASB incidents over last three year. � Slight increase in 2013/14 (nuisance related). � Overall decrease in incidents during 2014/15.

Types & Categories of Anti-Social Behaviour Three types: Environmental, Nuisance & Personal � Decreases in all over the last three years. � Significant reduction in Environmental ASB reports received � by the Police. ASB further categorised in to 11 subgroups. � Majority of reports relate to rowdy/inconsiderate behaviour. �

Cross County Comparative Performance � Northampton has the highest levels of Anti-Social Behaviour incidents per 1000 population within the county. incidents per 1000 population within the county. � Corby ranked highest for reports of personal Anti-Social Behaviour. � Northampton, Corby and Wellingborough have very similar levels of environmental Anti-Social Behaviour reports.
Public Perceptions of Anti-Social Behaviour � Slight reduction in respondents sighting Anti-Social Behaviour as an issue in Northampton between Jul 14 and Jun 15. � Daventry were the only other area to see a reduction. � Daventry were the only other area to see a reduction. � Rubbish/litter primary issue in all areas. � Vandalism was the second highest issue sighted in Northampton. � Northampton one of only two areas to see an increase in respondents reporting that the police and local council are dealing with issues in their area.
