In the Exodus, what are plagues for the Egyptians are miraculous events for the Israelites. What are judgments on the earth for the blood of the martyrs are justice to those who suffered at their hands. Remember that the martyrs prayed, “How much longer Lord must we suffer?” The destruction is substantial but still limited (only 1/3) T HE F IRST 4 T RUMPETS 1 ST TRUMPET Mixed hail, fire, blood Burned up 1/3 of the land Similar to the plague in Egypt Raining hail and fire 7

They were not allowed by God to kill them. Still those who lived did not repent. T HE 6 TH T RUMPET The Call to Repent Give up worship of demons and idols made of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood Give up evil actions murder, magic potions, unchastity and robbery God hopes they would repent, but they do not 10
