Error Messages: Adders
Quoting Hierarchy The equipment that can be added in an Adder quote depends on the system type from the original release. Quantum: Can quote anything (QS, G4000, XPS/LCP) QS: Can quote anything except Quantum front end Grafik 4000: Can quote G4k or XPS/LCP XPS/LCP: Can only quote XPS/LCP
Adder Quote Guidelines • Adders can only be created in OQT for projects that have been RELEASED and are not locked by the Project Manager • Adders can only be created in OQT for system types that are still being supported (no G5/6/7, DMW, Quantum 1.4, etc.) • OQT will allow you to add equipment that is compatible with the equipment listed in the original RELEASED quote • Warranty/Contract will be the same as purchased in the original RELEASED quote • Startup type will be the same as the original RELEASED quote
Find a Released project A project must be in the “RELEASED” status in order to generate an adder quote
Create Adder Quote In the “Project Info” tab, click on “Create Adder Quote” This button will only be available in the RELEASED quote/rev
Adder Quote Properties Select opportunity first, otherwise it will delete any Use quote name changes that you format, “PROJECT – have made so far. SYSTEM Adder – AREA” Example: “ABC Building – Quantum Adder – 2nd Floor Open Office Keypads” Use an option from the “Quote Based On” drop-down and modify as needed.
Adder Quote Properties Revised submittals? Click “Yes” if submittals have already been issued. Startup at same time as original? Click “No” if Field Service visit has already been scheduled Add other relevant information then click “Continue” to proceed
Add Equipment
Add/Review Notes Include the basis for how you determined what was existing (submittal set, database version, etc.). Include exceptions to missing information (no specs, drawings, etc.) Add other relevant notes, then click “save” to proceed
Save & Generate PDF For Adders, everything except “Budget” will default to match the RELEASED quote Click “Save” to continue

Grafik QS • RELEASED quote must have a QS Grafik Eye • Watch out for… – PDUs (3 per Grafik Eye) and System Limits – Power Modules – Emergency – Original BOM may not reflect ALL equipment on site. EcoSystem / QSN • EcoSystem fixtures are compatible with the old bus supplies. • Classic EcoSystem started shipping in 2007 and continued until 2010 when QSNs were introduced. • Submittal drawings were typically not provided for these systems so you may not be able to confirm loop capacity without a site visit. • If there is no room on the existing bus supplies then quote QSN-1ECO-S or QSN-2ECO-S – Note: Separate bus supplies / QSNs are not able to communicate between each other
EcoSystem / QSN • RELEASED quote must have a QSN • Watch out for… – PDUs, Device & Loop limits (search for “ ”) – QSMs – no more than 1:1 with switching/0-10V QSNs – Original BOM may not reflect all equipment on site • Some existing equipment may no longer be available. Below are some alternatives. Will it be T-Tapped or Daisy Chained? • QS Link PDU Rules: Document# on Lutron.com • Quantum System Rules: Document# (“ ”) • Use Lutron Designer to check system with added device(s) • Warranty: Contact LSCWarranty@Lutron.com for assistance – Projects with enhanced warranties or TSPs: The warranty for the existing system is recommended to be updated to align with the adder if they are more than 6 months into the warranty. – Projects with a campus-wide service plan: Ask the customer if they want to update their warranty

Limitations to Adder Quotes • Some conditions are not able to be calculated by OQT and may if not properly quoted • Quote requests must be sent to Integrated Systems if… – System type has been discontinued – Existing equipment is changing • Removed, Relocated, Reallocated, Reprogrammed or Modified – On-site programming is required – After-Hours or Weekend Startup is required – Adding advanced functionality • DMX, Partitioning, Shades, Vivariums or other complex sequence of operations • If you can start but can’t complete the quote, add as much as you can to Online Quote Tool, then send an email to Projects@Lutron.com for completion
