  4. 2/9/2020 Role of Programme Owners • Initial role: Ministries and Agencies have given the mandate to the Programme Managers to participate in OneHealth EJP • Agreement to use existing budgets of ongoing programmes (no extra budget required) • Recurrent role: as non ‐ participants keep aware of OneHealth EJP’s activities and outcome • Yearly POC meeting • Meeting with peers in Europe, including CEOs • Mirror groups • During formal & informal meetings, i.e. with Programme Managers, conferences, meetings with researchers, … • Supportive role at the end of the OneHealth EJP: to back its sustainability The Work Packages of OneHealth EJP 4

  6. 2/9/2020 Research Projects (JRPs) • Typical scientific studies addressing specific research objectives • May also contain long term supportive integrative actions • Capacity building / training, incl. ring trials, input for risk analysis • Experimental facilities • Detection / typing methods / protocols / GLP • Strain collection / reference materials / bio ‐ banks • Digital infrastructure / databases / data sharing protocols / data access / bioinformatics • Surveillance strategies / reporting / signalling • Legal / policy aspects Integrative Projects (JIPs) • Aim at developing harmonization of approaches, methodologies, databases and procedures for the assessment and management of foodborne hazards, emerging threats and AMR across Europe • E.g. platforms for uploading, sharing and analysing sequence data, experimental facilities, biological collections and/or risk assessment structures • This will improve the quality and compatibility of information for decision making by the authorities, the core business of OneHealth EJP • Requirement: animal health ‐ public health representation • The deliverables should become integrated into the work processes of project partners; impact ‐ oriented and sustainable, long term outcome 6
