OVERVIEW: Commissioners Montgomery County has received $92 million allocation to support our local economy and community as a result of the passage of the C oronavirus A id, R elief, and E conomic S ecurity (CARES) Act. We are extremely grateful for this support from the Federal Government, and this funding will be a game changer for helping our community recover from this pandemic. The Board of County Commissioners has moved to create a temporary Office of CARES Act, whose sole purpose will be the management of this funding and the distribution of these resources to our community. 2

  3. Purpose To provide financial support to businesses and/or organizations within Montgomery County, to address unforeseen financial needs and risks created by the COVID-19 public health emergency. 3

  4. Background Montgomery County Office of CARES Act is creating a process for specialized industry sectors to apply for aid from the CARES Act. The Office of CARES Act will administer the CARES Act funds based on US Treasury Department guidelines and procedures developed by the Office of CARES Act. Industries: Agriculture, Education, Childcare, Healthcare, Non-Profit, Small Business and Housing 4

Non-Profit INTRODUCTION The Montgomery County Board of County Commissioners has allocated $10M in Coronavirus Aid Relief & Economic Security Act (CARES) to assist non-profit, 501(c)3, 501(c)4 and 501(c)6, organizations for the provisions of services to individuals directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This program will consider reimbursements of expenses, incurred or anticipated, that were and are necessary to provide services to aid individuals affected by COVID-19. Allowable expenses include: Mortgage/Rent, Utilities, costs related to Nutritional Programs, Public Health, PPE Supplies, Technology and Other program services. Documentation will be required to substantiate a direct relationship between the proposed expenses and COVID-19. OVERVIEW • To support non-profit agencies in their outreach efforts to cover expenditures incurred due to the public health emergency with respect to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), were not previously budgeted, and were (or will be) incurred between March 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. • Grants up to $100,000 will be awarded to eligible non-profit organizations. 7

  8. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Please carefully review the requirements that are necessary to fulfill the obligations of this grant if awarded. 1. The proposed program services will benefit individuals living in Montgomery County, Ohio. 2. The organization must be physically located in Montgomery County, Ohio. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS 1. Copy of your current Ohio Secretary of State certificate of good standing 2. Copy of 2018 or 2019 Tax Form 990 Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax 3. Listing of Current Board Members 4. Copy of Form W-3 Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements (If Applicable) 5. Copy of Form 1096 Annual Summary and Transmittal of U.S. Information Returns (If Applicable) 6. Proof of Actual Operating expenditures between January thru March 2020 7. Projected budget expenditures for operations from June 1, 2020 thru December 31, 2020 8

  10. Non-Profit Funding Process • Final Decision and Notification • Once a decision has been made, you will be contacted via email. • All funds will be distributed via checks made out in the business’s legal name. • Final report will be due 90 days after the project is complete. 10
