Challenge 1: Data for surveillance is limited • The national child nutrition surveillance programme is oriented towards under-nutrition problem in children aged 5 years or less  national data collection system to monitor the trends of nutritional status for various cohorts, especially adults is limited. • No census on nutritional status. • Bi-annual Vietnam Household Living Standard Surveys cover fairly small sample: < 1% population.
