We believe that dental health is an important part of your overall health because poor dental health can cause serious problems in other parts of your body. That’s why we focus on your total health, with prevention in mind at all times. 3

Members can experience the unique benefits of total health integration when they have both medical and dental coverage from Kaiser Permanente Northwest. Our dental and medical teams work together and have a coordinated approach to care, giving you another reason to smile. 4

Now, let’s talk about the Kaiser Permanente dental plan. There is no deductible for our Kaiser Permanente dental plan. Each time you come in, you will pay a $20 office visit copay. This copay will cover the cost of most basic services, but you will have some additional cost on restorative and major services such as root canals, crowns and bridges, implants, and orthodontic treatment. There are no plan changes for the plan beginning October 1, 2020. 5
