  9. Students will enjoy a 30 minute lunch each day in the cafeteria. We invite parents to join their child for lunch any time. We ask that you always sign in and meet your child in the café’. We have special tables set up for students and parents. Students also have a classroom snack in the afternoons. They are responsible for bringing their own snack each day. Snacks should be nutritious and ready to eat. All classrooms are “nut free.”

  10. Recess is approximately 30 minutes each day. We prefer students wear closed toe shoes due to safety concerns. Bring a jacket/coat on cool weather days. o We go outside whenever possible!(District Guidelines) o The teachers also incorporate music and movement (Go Noodle) into their daily routine.

  14. o Sign-up in June for your campus newsletter in order to receive communications. This newsletter includes additional information from the weekly teacher newsletter. If you are a current parent, you only need to have signed up once. o All campuses will have a “Meet Your Teacher” event in August the week before school begins. You can bring your student’s school supplies with you. o All campuses will host a Curriculum Night early in the year to answer questions & review all the Kindergarten curriculum, as well as share class-specific information o The entire 1 st week of school will be half-days. Lunch will not be served. Teachers assess students during the afternoon and sign-ups will occur through your teacher.

  15. o Send a healthy/peanut free snack each day o Be sure to call/email the campus when your child is absent. o If you join your child for lunch, we have special tables set up for guests. o Check your child’s backpack each evening. o Call/email the office to change the way your child is going home.
