Expected Results for 2019-21 A bit about Youthprise… Founded in 2010 by the McKnight Foundatjon, Youthprise invests in the future of Minnesota by investjng in youth. With a commitment to racial equity, it works to shifu the trajectory for underserved young CAREER PATHWAYS people. Launch of Guided by a strengths-based approach, Youthprise works supported local community college to transform how funders, instjtutjons, providers and optjon in Northfjeld communitjes work with youth. Establish Educatjon Fellows Pilot for Youthprise approached Northfjeld HCI and the City of those interested Northfjeld in 2015 about launching a shared partnership. in educatjon career Over next 3 years, explore law enforcement and/or municipal 3 Components of Youth First careers pathways CONTINUED STAFFING SUPPORT FOR NORTHFIELD ASAP YOUTH ENGAGEMENT • Now includes a joint focus on chemical & mental health • Expand local capacity for medicatjon-assisted treatment for Opioid Use Disorder by 100% YOUTH HEALTH • Provide the optjon for a local diversion class in Rice County for youth who are fjrst-tjme tobacco, alcohol, or marijuana ofgenders • Work with local partners to create a local youth recovery community YOUTH FUTURE

YOUTHBANK Award $50,000 in grants for youth-led projects through YouthBank ~ Results ~ Excitjng results have been achieved in the fjrst 3.5 years of this partnership.

Speaking of Results... ~ Since the 2015 launch ~ ~ Since the 2015 launch ~ YOUTH ON BOARDS YOUTHBANK 157 Northfjeld youth $89,261 in grants awarded since 2015 to 30 (unduplicated count) have difgerent Northfjeld youth-led projects served on local boards and ~ FIRST YouthBank chapter in the U.S. that awarded grants ~ commissions since 2015 ~ 95 unduplicated positjons ~ 2014 - 2 boards 2017 - 22 boards NORTHFIELD MAYOR’S TASK FORCE ON YOUTH INTERNSHIPS ALCOHOL & DRUG USE Now Northfjeld ASAP – a formal city commission 91 student internships since 2015 • Take It To The Box has City summer internship program launched collected more than 23,000 pounds of unwanted medicatjon since its inceptjon CNA training program established • Tip 411 launched with Northfjeld Retjrement Community • Supported 39 Northfjeld Night (55 youth trained between 2015-18) to Unite partjes last year, up from 21 the previous year • Stalls Campaign: Partjcipatjon by over 35 local businesses Presented over a dozen times on the Youth First model (including recently at the League of Minnesota Cities Annual Conference) Presented over a dozen times on the Youth First model (including recently at the League of Minnesota Cities Annual Conference)
