STUDENT RIGHTS By Illinois inois stat ate e law, a stud uden ent t has the right ght to bilin lingu gual al servic vices, es, if the student’s home or native language is other than English glish AND he/she she qualif ifies ies for it.  To determine if a student qualifies, he/she needs to take an English proficiency test.  If the student is not proficient in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing in English, he/she is eligible.  Parents at that time may choose bilingual support services

ACCESS FOR ELLS 2.0 ASSESSMENT Ann nnua ual stat ate e man anda dated ed stan anda dardi dize zed d tes est  ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 is a secure large-scale English language proficiency assessment administered to Kindergarten through 12th grade students who have been identified as English language learners (ELs).  ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 is aligned with the WIDA English Language Development Standards and assesses each of the four language domains of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
