  4.  “The National Qualifications Agency is a permanent collegial body authorized to implement public policy in the area of qualifications” (Art. 38, para. 1) NQA status  12 member : 3 – employers, 3 – trade unions, 6 – governmental representatives (Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Economics, Ministry of Social Politicy)  7 NQA members work at a regular basis  62 (max) officers in Secretariat

  5.  participates in the development of laws NQA main tasks. Policy and regulations in the area of qualifications  coordinates efficiency assessment of state policy in the area of qualifications  provides for forecasting needs of the labour market in qualifications  interacts with bodies and establishments of quality assurance in education

  6.  provides support to the introduction of the National Qualifications Framework with requirements of this Law NQA main tasks. NQF  performs international cooperation in the area of qualifications, including with the goal of harmonizing the National Qualifications Framework with similar international documents  provides information support to the introduction of the National Qualifications System and the National Qualifications Framework  creates and maintains the Qualification Registry

Occupational standards  develops a draft procedure of development, enforcement and review of professional standards and submits it to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for approval  registers professional standards and ensures open access to standards  coordinates development of professional standards  performs accreditation of qualification centres
