Altitude The Altitude program was developed by the Office of the Vice-Provost, Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and the Teaching and Learning Support Service to enable students in the Masters and PhD programs, as well as Postdoctoral fellows, to develop professional skills that will facilitate their integration and progression into the workplace . Graduate Studies Mentoring Centre The Graduate Student Mentoring Centre of the University of Ottawa gives students in Master’s and PhD the opportunity to meet and talk with graduate student mentors and address the concerns they may have during the course of their studies. Career Development Center Career Development Centre offers various services and resources in career development to enable students to recognize and enhance the employability skills you need in today's world of work. You will find information about career counselling, job search tools, career fairs and other useful resources. Virtual Career Library This guide is designed to connect you with career development resources both within the Library collection, and via the University of Ottawa's on-campus career services groups. The virtual career library offers many tools such as advice for writing your resume and cover letters, tools to help you prepare for an interview and a list of possible careers by fields of study. Teaching and Learning Support Service (TLSS) At the Teaching and Learning Support Service (TLSS), we’re passionate about teaching! With a team of professionals in various areas of expertise related to higher education, we support the faculty members in their commitment to offer quality education so that our students benefit from an unforgettable experience at the University of Ottawa. Centre for Innovative Pedagogies and Digital Learning (CIPDL) The Centre for Innovative Pedagogies and Digital Learning (CIPDL) provides expert consultation and support services to faculty* in the development and implementation of technology-based courses (fully online courses, blended courses, etc.), online teaching and learning materials, multimedia materials (tutorials, Websites, eBooks, etc.), presentations or research publications. *Regular or part-time professors, teaching assistants, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and any other person involved in teaching. Research and Teaching Assistantships Most academic units offer research and teaching assistantships. Priority for the attribution of these positions is given to University of Ottawa admission scholarship holders. Some academic units may nevertheless award assistantships to other students based on the availability of funds.
