  3.  Apple Inc., formerly Apple Computer, Inc., is an American multinational corporation headquartered in “ Cupertino, California”  The company was founded on April 1, 1976, and incorporated as Apple Computer, Inc. on January 3, 1977. The word "Computer" was removed from its name on January 9, 2007, reflecting its shifted focus towards consumer electronics after the introduction of the iPhone.

The Apple iPhone is one of the mobile handset that has a virtual keyboard in place of physical keyboard. The founder and also the CEO of Apple Inc was the first to bring the idea of the original iPhone  The iPhone has the ability to handle various types wireless signal; GSM used for phone calls; while GPRS, 3G and EDGE are for mobile internet access; Wi-Fi is for public hotspots and houses internet access

  6. The Apple iPhone 4 and 4s has an attractive liquid crystal display with  3.5-inch screen size, 4.5 inches height, 2.31 inches in width and 0.37inch depth. The Apple iPhone 4 and 4s screen have 326 PPI (Pixel per inch) pixel density and 960x640 pixel dimensions within 3.5” inch per second (IPS) display (Shanklin, 2012). IPhone 4 has a high pixel density that makes it very difficult for the human eye to differentiate or notice individual pixels, as a result Apple name it "retina Display” 5c and 5s have 4 inches (diagonal) screen size multi touch display.  iPhone 5c has 4.90 inches height, 2.33 inches in width and 0.35 inches depth, while iPhone 5s have 4.87 inch height, 2.31 inch width, 0.30 inch depth. iPhone 5c and 5s has 4 inches per second display with 1136x640 pixel dimensions and 326 PPI (Shanklin, 2013).

  14. APPLE APPLICATION SOFTWARE Cont.  iLife 2011 : is the application suite that contains customer- oriented digital lifestyle. The features of iLife suit are; iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD, GarageBand and iWeb.  iWork: : is an application that allows users to create, present and publish documents, presentations and spreadsheets. In addition, it allows the user to share that document with people via iCloud Mail. (Apple Inc, 2011).  Maps : The map in an iPhone is an application with very sharp text and graphic that is very well detailed. APPLE APPLICATION SOFTWARE Cont.  Siri: Siri is a voice recognition system that recognized different instruction or commands, it responds to the user command and execute it without manually typing the text equivalent  Passbook : This is an application used in keeping boarding passes, tickets, coupons, etc. and display them Lock screen automatically at the time and position of its need.  FaceTime This application allows the user to make a video call (see who is talking using the front camera) and audio-only. One can share the view of his/her end using the iSight camera at the back of the phone.  Safari: this is a web browsing for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, which work more interesting with the integration of iCloud. It provides a cross-platforms for maintaining bookmarks, save web pages in your reading list not only the links.

  16. APPLE APPLICATION SOFTWARE Cont. Phone: this featu re allows the user to dial with a single tap or instruct Siri to do that. It allows instant reply with a text massage to an incoming call, which the user wants to decline.  Find My iPhone This application is used to locate and protect a missing iPhone. It will automatically lock the missing iPhone by using four-digit password, which make it difficult for anyone who is not you to use your device.  Find My Friend. This application has a feature for sharing Location with family and friends. The user can only know the location of their family and friends on a map at anytime if only they share location with each other.  Mail: this is an application where user can send, receive, reply all massage in all your accounts. It keeps track of the list of email conversations. Photos and videos are shared to email Message and is easy to read on the Retina display

  17.  Apple Inc provide Apple store customers the opportunity to download many applications as they want through the Apple store.  The iTunes was the first online download store before the invention of Apple store. SUPPLY CHAIN M ANAGEMENT  Apple supply chain is a very strong as all their components are being sourced from a variety of suppliers, which gives them bargaining power. Nevertheless, some few components uses single sourced, such as Microprocessors, optical circuit and liquid display.  As of 2013, Apple maintains 407retail stores in fourteen countries as well as the online Apple Store and iTunes Store.

  18. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT  R and D is a process of using different business strategies by understanding the current market trend and forecasting the future trend to meet the customer desired.  Apple is spending shoot about 32% in 2013 in R and D to maintain its status in the marketplace (Hughes N 2013). COMPETITION  Apple has taken over the leadership over it rivals most especially in the area of Audio and visual design which demands high-end and more sophisticated software. .  Apple beats their rivals by providing their customers with all necessary software, hardware and accessories to interface with each other smoothly.
