Preparing school facilities to receive staff and students Ensuring that the mechanical functions work properly (heat, water, leaks, fire systems, etc.) Beautification of the buildings for a positive appearance to all “internal” and “external” users/visitors Ensuring safety by repairing faulty equipment or other safety related issues (playground equipment, stairs, decks, cracked sidewalks, snow removal, etc.)
The manner in which we deal with co-workers, other school employees, vendors, and the community is important for the reputation of the Maintenance Department as well as the overall impression of the Mount Vernon School District. Employees shall consistently interact with all stakeholders in a positive upbeat manner which displays an interest in dealing with the issue being addressed with the goal of solving issues/problems.
