Key Recommendations: • 1) Avoid Inactivity 2) strive to get at least 150 Minutes per week of moderate intensity physical activity Regular PA can lead to substantial health benefits including: • Lower risk of Heart Disease, HBP, Stroke, Type II Diabetes, • Metabolic Syndrome, some cancers Improved cognitive function • -2008 PA Guidelines for Americans (US Dept of HHS) Improved fitness levels. • -American College of Sports Medicine Health benefits of PA are evident for those of all • ages and abilities.
