  4. Mogden Technical Working Group Mogden 1) First meeting held on 15 March 2018. 2) Agreed the Terms of Reference for the group. 3) Discussed the challenges for Mogden over the next 10 years. 4) Looked at long term challenges for Mogden. 5) Next meeting in July 2018.

Mogden Sewage Works Current investment work: New sludge thickening building • Full Planning permission received 20 th December 2018. • Construction due for completion April 2019. • Demolition of 2Nr 25m Diameter x 6m high Circular tanks and associated concrete works completed without incident.

Mogden Sewage Works Current investment work: New sludge thickening building • Final diversions completed. • New below pipework and drainage nearing completion. • Associated reinforced concrete foundations for new infrastructure ongoing. • New steel portal frame SR3 clad building due to start July18.

  8. The new security fence • Work currently ongoing. • In May we will need to temporary close the footpath. • The work will be planned to ensure the least inconvenience to residents. • Due for completion July 2018. 8

  17. Mogden Open Day On Saturday 24th March we opened our doors to the public for residents to come and see how the site works. .o

  18. Mogden Open Day • More than 430 local residents attended. • Along with a tour of the works, there was also a marquee behind the admin building housing exhibits from the Environment Agency, London Wildlife Trust and Water Aid.

The staff who were there on the Not so organised day answered all my questions and gave me all the relevant information about the works. Would you pass on my thanks to Harriet Allen and all the staff for a most enjoyable day .

Everyone excellent commentary from the working there was staff was the best. The other info in the tent was very interesting really engaged and it too, and it was very kind of you was great . to offer everyone a free meal which was very nice.

Mogden Sewage Works- Odour complaints update 40 35 30 25 20 Odour Direct 15 Odour LBH 10 5 0 Mar-16 Apr-16 May-16 Jun-16 Jul-16 Aug-16 Sep-16 Oct-16 Nov-16 Dec-16 Jan-17 Feb-17 Mar-17 Apr-17 May-17 Jun-17 Jul-17 Aug-17 Sep-17 Oct-17 Nov-17 Dec-17 Jan-18 Feb-18 Mar-18 • January & February 2018, we received 0 complaints. • March 2018, we received 2 direct complaints and LBH received 6. Note : At the time of the complaints in March the LBH duty officer undertook H2S readings and the H2S readings were 0.000ppm. The threshold level is set at 0.015ppm.

The best way to prevent mosquitoes from breeding is to remove stagnant water. • Get rid of litter and used tyres. Hundreds of mosquito eggs can • Keep gutters and flat roofs clear. grow in as little as a standing cup of water • Change bird bath water once a week. • Check the lid on your rain water butt. • Turn over containers you aren’t using. • Keep fish in your garden pond. • Arrange tarpaulin so water can run off.
