READY TO TALK ABOUT OUR MISSION? T he call of Christ is first a call to Christ. • Phase 1: The disciples were sent out for ministry after they experienced intimacy with Jesus • Phase 2: The disciples went on mission with Jesus Q: So, how are you doing with implementing the daily discipline of Bible study & prayer? Q: What obstacles have you run into? How can we encourage you and pray for you? Q: What verses have you memorized that have been lifelines in your journey?
ON A MISSION “Go into the world & preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15 “Go and make disciples of all nations…” Matthew 28:19 “As the Father has sent me, I also send you.” John 20:21
JESUS CALLS EVERY CHRISTIAN TO BE… • Ministers of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18) • Ambassadors for Christ (2 Cor. 5:20) • Proclaimers of the Gospel (Mark 16:15) • Demonstrators of the life of Jesus (John 13:35, 21:25) Are we fulfilling our call • Stewards of God’s Grace (1 Peter 4:10) or Are we failing our call?

COMBAT • People are not the enemy • PEOPLE ARE THE PRIZE! Do you truly love people? Remember Ephesians 6:12
CONFORM Small compromises, a.k.a. tolerance, can be a slippery slope Are you conforming to the world? Remember Matt. 5:13-16 and Romans 12:2
ARE YOU A LAME DUCK? Are you more committed to holiness than to humanity? Are you more committed to the world than to the Lord? Do you look more like Jonah or Jesus? Jesus, our perfect model, totally committed His life to humanity without ever ceasing to be holy.
