What is dual enrollment? • The MCC Dual Enrollment Academy is a program designed for high school students interested in earning college credit while working towards high school graduation requirements. • MCC serves more than 1500 dual enrollment students each semester. Who qualifies? • High school or home school students in good standing who have a minimum 2.0 GPA and meet multiple measures. – PSAT 480 or higher – ENG101 eligible • Students who have the approval of their guidance counselors or home school advisors, and parent signature.

Benefits of Dual Enrollment – Students strengthen reading, writing, and core academic skills, are subject to the demands and rigor of college courses. – Students can take advantage of the many campus resources (tutoring, computer labs, library, community & college events). – Students earn transferable credit and reduce future student loan debt.

Commonwealth Commitment
• The MassTransfer Block refers to a set of general education, core, or distribution requirements, consisting of 34 college-level credits. • These credits when completed together with a 2.0 or higher GPA, fully transfer to any Massachusetts public higher education institution.
Mass Transfer Students completing an associates degree with at least 60 credit hours are eligible to transfer into a Massachusetts state university with no: – application fee – no application essay – automatic satisfaction of general education requirements – guaranteed transfer credit – guaranteed admission (2.5 or higher) – 33% tuition waiver for those with a 3.0 or higher
